X-mas calendar explanation;=)

So, not every country has the x-mas calendar thing so I´ll explain what this is:

Here in Sweden we have our "countdown" to x-mas eve by having calendars where we open one little "box" every day from december 1st to december 24. These calendars can be filled with chocolate in them so the children get a little piece of chocolate every day. Or you can just open the calendar and there are a tiny little drawing inside, like candles or santa for instance. You can also make your own calendar where you put little packages to your children to open every day.

And then on TV and in the radio they send special calendar shows to accompany each day of opening. It is for 15 minutes and with different shows for every year. The first ever calendar to be sent in our radio was in 1957 and first time ever in TV was 1960, so it´s been a tradition for quite some time now;=)
My favourite calendar ever in TV was this one, Trolltider.
